Attending Startup Jalsa @ Dharamshala ❄️

I got the opportunity to attend a Startup Event called Startup Jalsa for our Startup Company Bananasol at Dharamshala. It's an Investors / Startups meet, where 4 Startups with the best ideas will get funded. Even though we didn't get funded, we met a lot of cool Startups and people, got to listen to valuable advises from Investors, got some important feedback from people and had a lot of great experiences overall.

First Stop - New Delhi

It's my first time here in the capital and loved every part of it. Knowing that our country functions from here gave me goosebumps. Got to see a lot of important government buildings. And I just loved the food. Eating Pani Pooris in their native region is one of the best part of the trip. And I was completely taken aback by the Western culture in Delhi compared to the conservative culture in the South. Met a lot of interesting people while travelling through the crowded metros. There was this one guy selling Coolers on the street , we got a pair and started talking with him , and he started talking about his life, how he came to Delhi , how no one ever talks with him, about the government, about the streets and even more things. He spoke first class English for a Street Peddler, and he told us some really valuable life lessons.

Next Stop - Chandigarh

Our bus to Dharamshala leaves from Chandigarh airport, so we waited on the airport , and prepared a bit for tomorrow's elevator pitch sessions.

I'm wearing 4 layers of clothing in this picture.
It's starting to get cold.

Last Stop - Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh

First thought? It's freezingly beautiful here. Our Oyo room was almost in the middle of the forest.

The view from our Hotel Room

The room had no heater, so it was freezing at night. But the Hotel owner was so helpful, he even gave lift in his bike to Hotel Pavilion for all three days.

It's 2°C in this picture.

The event took place in Hotel Pavilion , which is where the Indian Cricket Team will stay if they're playing matches in Himachal. The hotel and the location was beautiful. It had an indoor swimming pool (too freezing to even touch the water), a huge dining room with any food you want, sunbathing spot, and professional looking conference rooms.

Day 1 of Startup Jalsa

Day 2 of Startup Jalsa

Day 3 of Startup Jalsa

Had a chance to go paragliding, and it was one of the most unforgettable moment of my life. Seeing the city down below, while gliding through the sky was unreal. For the whole journey I can't stop smiling.

Even more photos from the trip.

Our travel back to Delhi

We spent another day in Delhi, waiting for our return flight.

This trip was one of the most exciting things I have ever done, and will remain in my memories forever.
